On Tuesday 11th October Oundle U12A and U13A met with Bedford Girls School and RGS Worcester for their first match in the School Sport Magazine Netball tournament. Having only played netball on Saturday afternoons since September, and only as teams for two sessions, the girls did very well and proved a competitive side to our opposition.
The U13 eventually lost their match to a strong side with the honourable score of 8-32, whilst the U12 performed very well and won their match 19-7. Daisy Bennett (L) was player of the match. They will play Berkhamsted in the next round, at home, on November 18th. Both teams will continue to train on Fridays and Saturdays to ensure they work at their best in the tournament and straight from the start of the netball season in January.
