On Saturday evening, the Crosby and Fisher Third Forms enjoyed their annual challenge night in the Heron Rogers Wood, within the Oundle School grounds, after dusk. The boys built their own cooking fires and prepared chocolate banana splits and toasted marshmallows. An inter-house game of Spotlight on the top pitches proved competitive, with each house learning the others' names, as competitors snuck down hedge lines out of sight to reach the base.
To finish there was hot chocolate in the woods, then the walk back for pizza and discussion in the Crosby Library.
As Crosby and Fisher share a building, these boys will be living under the same roof for the next five years. The bonds made this evening should help forge new inter-house friendships for the years to come.
